Chapter 75: Untitled

Blake

I finished packing my bag and looked at Nae on the bed. “Hey,” I went and sat by her.

“Hey,” she shot me a small smile.

“I still have one more night,” I tried to lighten the mood.

“I know and that’s why you’re not allowed to leave until you have to go to your plane. I want you all to myself,” she pulled me close.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” I pecked her lips. I moved to take off my glasses but she stilled me.

“Leave them on. I like you in your glasses,” she smiled.

“You’re serious?” I looked at her like she was crazy. I hated how I looked in my glasses. It just brings back the memories of getting bullied.

“I know it brings you back to those times but it does that to me too. I’ve always loved how you looked in your glasses. I loved how you would always have a book with you and how you would help people who would never help you. I love you for you Blake and I don’t want you to be ashamed of something like that,” she rubbed my hand.

“You’re literally amazing,” I said softly. She made me think an entire different way.

“Come here,” she kissed me.

“I don’t wanna leave,” I mumbled as I clung onto Nae. We were at the airport waiting for my flight to be called. I really don’t wanna leave but work calls. I hate that this always happens but I can’t change it right now at least. Who knows where I’ll be a few years from now.

“I don’t want you to leave but you have to,” she reminded me as she pulled away. We literally spent the last few days together and Jessi said how rude it was to ignore family but I didn’t care. We always do that when I have to leave.

“You’ll be down there in three weeks right?” I hated that it was such a big time gap, at least in my head it was.

“I promise baby and we’ll talk like we always do,” she pecked my lips.

“I love you,” I kissed her again.

“I love you too, now go before you miss your flight,” she kissed me one last time before I had to go.

I finally landed and went to look for Sage. I saw her standing by her car and I let out a small smile. “Bout time your ass got back down here. Got me doing all the work,” she shook her head with a playful smile.

“I should’ve stayed in New York to make you suffer longer,” I joked as she helped me put my stuff in the back of her car.

“You wouldn’t be that damn evil. I thought that was supposed to be me.”

“You never know. I’m not as innocent as I look. I can be pretty cruel,” I hopped in and she pulled off.

“We’ll see. Are you ready to get back to work?” She raised a brow.

“Bring it on,” I nodded.

 

 

Jhene

“Alright, I’m gone,” I tried to leave but Aubrey pulled me back. I knew that he would try that but I was hoping that he wouldn’t.

“And where exactly are you going?” Here he goes being the overprotective brother again. I’m too old to be treated like I’m sixteen.  I’m twenty one and I can do whatever the fuck I want.

“I don’t know but I’ll figure it out,” I put my backpack on my shoulder. I’ll figure everything out but I’ll have Caleb so I should be fine.

“Jhene you have to have a stable place to stay,” he looked at me. I have a stable place to stay. I just don’t know where it is yet.

“I do, I’m gonna live with Caleb,” I told him.

“Who the hell is Caleb!?” He looked at me like I was crazy. I knew he wouldn’t approve of me moving in with a guy he doesn’t know but Caleb is really sweet and I’ve known him for the last six years.

“He’s my um well I don’t really know who he is to me but I’m gonna live with him,” I nodded. I don’t know exactly what to call him but he’s someone I care about a lot.

“You’re absolutely insane if you think I’m gonna let you leave,” he shook his head.

“And you’re absolutely insane if you think that I’m gonna stay here. I want to be a singer Aubrey and I am not about to do that here. I’m moving to Atlanta to follow my dreams. Either support me or be against me because either way I’m leaving,” I shrugged.

“If anything happens,” he started but I cut him off.

“I know, I’ll call you,” I hugged him before leaving.

Mylan

“And you will call me every day and send me cookies once a week,” Alexis demanded as we drove them to the airport. She’s been telling me everything that I had to do all day. I’m surprised she didn’t run out of things to demand.

“Do I have a say in this?” I laughed. I think I’m gonna be forced to do some of these things.

“Nope, I don’t wanna leave you,” she pouted while letting some tears fall. That just made me feel worse. I knew Alexis looked up to me as a big sister and I look at her like a little sister. We literally haven’t been apart for more than a month. So this will be a big transition with her being in Paris and me staying in New York. She couldn’t come over here anytime she wanted to because she would have school. We pulled up to the airport and I picked her up.

“I’ll come visit all the time and I promise to call you. If you ever miss me then you know that you can call me. I don’t know about the cookies but I’ll always be one call away Lex,” I kissed her cheek and wiped her tears.

“Bye My,” she hugged me before going over to Auntie Cassie.

“Can we wait until they take off?” I asked Dad and he nodded.

Alexis

“Mommy can I use your phone!?” I begged. I needed her phone right now and this is very important to me.

“Who do you need to call?” She asked as we waited for our flight to be called.

“I need to call My at this moment now!” I needed to hurry. She shook her head and punched in her number before handing me the phone.

“Hi Auntie Cassie did you forget something?” Her voice came through the phone.

“It’s Alexis,” I told her.

“Hey Lex why are you calling me? Don’t you have a flight to catch?” She questioned.

“You told me to call you when I miss you. I miss you,” I cried.

“Don’t cry Alexis,” she sighed.

“I really miss you,” I tried to stop crying but I couldn’t.

“Turn around,” I heard her say. I turned and saw her standing there with a smile. I ran into her arms and she picked me up. “I’ll always be here for you Alexis. I don’t ever want you to think that I don’t miss you or care about you. Do you remember what I used to tell you all the time?” She raised an eyebrow.

“That I’m your most favorite person in the world!” I smiled.

“Exactly,” she returned the smile.

Nicki

“Bye Cass,” I hugged her before she left.

“Bye Nika, I can’t believe we’re gonna be so far away but I promise to visit,” she said before pulling away.

“Bye Auntie Nicki!” Alexis jumped into my arms.

“Bye Alexis,” I kissed her before putting her down. We waved until we couldn’t see them anymore.

“And then there were three,” My said as we all walked back to the car.

“About to be four,” Aubrey added in as he rubbed my stomach.

“I miss her,” Nae sighed as she plopped down on my bed.

“I miss her too so I know you must be dying over there,” I joked. Of course I miss my cousin but Nae obviously misses her way more than I do.

“I’m gonna hate this,” she groaned.

“And I’m gonna hate this if this happens every time she leaves,” I could not handle this all of the time.

“Oh shut up Nika,” she hit me.

“You are not allowed to hit a pregnant woman!” I over exaggerated.

“You're barely even showing. I can’t believe that I have a niece or nephew growing inside of you,” she rubbed my stomach.

“I know I can’t believe it either. If you would’ve asked me six years ago where I would be I would have told you as far away from Aubrey as possible. I hated him for drugging me but now he’s grown up. I never thought this is where we would be,” I couldn’t believe it at all.

“Imagine how I feel. I never thought that I would be with Blake ever again,” she let out a small smile.

“You are literally the female version of Aubrey and I’m Blake,” I laughed.

“I’m not that bad!” She pleaded but then went quiet because she knew that I was right. They literally are just alike and it’s weird. “I can’t believe that this all started out as him being our coach and Blake being from ‘Atlanta’,” she used air quotes.

“Blake knew that she was wrong for that. When I first saw Aubrey, I just thought that he was a lonely asshole and I was right. He was lonely and he definitely was an asshole at first but he changed once we got together. He needed someone to be there for him and I was,” I couldn’t fight the memories flowing through my head. Everything is such a dream compared to now.

“I would’ve never thought that you two would be together,” she shook her head.

“Neither did I but I’m happy we got here. It’s exactly where I need to be,” I admitted. She looked down at her phone and I saw her tense up. “What’s wrong?”

“Oh, um nothing. I gotta go. I promised my dad that I would come over for dinner. I’ll talk to you later Nika,” she hugged me and left.

Aubrey and I were on the couch together just watching movies since My wanted to go over by Nyra so it was just us. “I still can’t believe that we actually are married,” I looked down at my hand.

“I know but I’m happy that we are,” he kissed my head. I was so happy that we were married. I never thought that we would be married with a child on the way.

“I just want you to know that no matter what you do, I could never fully walk away. It’s like my heart won’t let you go so I always end up coming back. Don’t take this as an excuse to do something because I will kill you. I just don’t understand how you have such a strong pull over my emotions,” I shrugged.

“You have the same effect on me Onika. Even though I screwed up time and time again, I always gave it my all to get you back. I don’t wanna fuck up again. I want you to be happy and I want us to be happy. I have this huge expansion with my company over the next few years and I have my family. I have all of my dreams coming true with you along the way. Don’t ever leave me,” he rubbed my cheek.

“I can never fully leave you anyway,” I pecked his lips. “So what gender do you think the baby will be?” I already knew but I just wanted to see if he changed his mind.

“A boy,” he said proudly. He’s gonna be stuck on this until we find out what the gender of the baby is.

“Naw, I think it’s gonna be a girl,” I straddled him. I wouldn’t mind either genders but I just didn’t want him to be right.

“You’re insane if you think it’s a girl,” he laughed.

“You’re insane if you think it’s a boy. Wanna bet?” I raised an eyebrow.

“Nope because I have everything I could ever want,” he kissed me. I have everything I could ever want too. He means everything to me.

“I love you,” I mumbled against his lips.

“I love you too,” he kissed me again.

Shad

I finally got home and went inside. I saw some of Alexis’ stuff on the floor and chuckled. No matter how many times I tell her to clean up, something always ends up being left on the floor. I wanted to call Cassie and tell her to bring Alexis over but she’s on a plane right now. Maybe I could just call Drake. He’s with Nicki. There’s always Mere. She’s with Antonio. I never realized how alone I truly was. I sighed and looked down at my phone. I typed in a number and waited.

“Hello?”

“Can you come over? I’on got anyone else.”

“I’ll be there.”

Nae

I raised my hand to knock on my dad’s door. My hand was shaking and my heart was beating fast. He opened the door and quickly let me in. I looked at him and tried not to break down. “I need your help.”
