Chapter 32: 0 To 100

Nicki’s P.O.V.

I was on my way to Robert’s house with my lawyer next to me. He said he was gonna grab something out of his car so I headed to the house. As I was walking, I bumped into someone. Realizing I was about to fall, he grabbed my waist and held me up.

“Whoa, my bad ma,” he said as he helped me.

“It’s alright, I should have looked where I was going,” I apologized as he took a step back.

“It’s cool-,” he trailed off.

“Nicki,” I told him.

“Nicki, well it’s nice to meet you. My name’s Daven,” he introduced himself.

“That’s a strange name,” I laughed slightly. I’ve never met someone with a stranger name than mine; at least in my opinion.

“Yeah well my parents want my name to pop out to people,” he laughed with me. That definitely pops out to people, that’s for sure.

“My real name’s Onika but I go by Nicki,” I explained. I thought he shouldn’t be the only one with a strange name.

“Well that’s a strange name,” he mocked me. I giggled slightly before seeing my lawyer walking over.

“Well I have to go. It was nice to meet you,” I said about to walk away.

“Can I get a number or something?” He questioned me.

“Sorry but I have a man,” I smirked as I turned around.

~

“Stay here while I see if he’ll just sign the papers,” I told him before knocking on his door. I hope he doesn’t make a big deal about this.

“Well isn’t it my daughter,” he smirked when he opened the door.

“I want legal custody over Mylan,” I spoke right away.

“I heard you took over the role as her mother. If it was just you, I would say sure but I ain’t having another nigga being called daddy by my daughter,” he spat.

“He acts more like a dad to her than you ever have,” I glared at him.

“Well I’m not signing shit,” he snapped. I motioned for my lawyer to come to me. He handed Robert a big pile of papers.

“You have been served,” he spoke before we left.

Chimere’s P.O.V.

“I can’t believe you’re making me do this,” I mumbled to Paris as we stood in front of Blake’s door. I didn’t want to do this at all; seeing Blake was the last thing I wanted to do.

“Well I couldn’t do this alone and you’re the only friend I have in New York,” she explained. I knew she couldn’t do this by herself and that’s the only reason I agreed to this.

“I just really don’t want to see her but I’ll do it for this reason,” I agreed.

“I don’t see why she won’t just leave Nae. I never liked her when she was in Cali. She’s a shady bitch; always having something up her sleeve,” she groaned.

“Her mom is out right now so she’s alone. Can you go in first and sit her down before I come in?” She pleaded. I nodded before she went back in the car; I can’t believe I’m doing this. I knocked on the door and surprise, surprise, Nae answered. Note the sarcasm.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” She snapped; here we go with her bullshit.

“I need to talk to Blakelynn,” I spoke trying to contain my anger. She was a little kid in my opinion who needed to grow up.

“What do you need with my girlfriend?” She crossed her arms. I had enough of her so I just pushed her aside and walked in. I found Blake in the living room, sitting on the recliner upside down. I giggled slightly because that’s so Blake. I cleared my throat and she looked over at me. Being in shock to see me, she fell right to the ground.

“Ow,” she mumbled as she got up. “Mere? What are you doing here? Not that I mind but I thought you didn’t want to be around me?” She rambled.

“I don’t,” I cut my eyes at her making sure she knew this wasn’t by choice. This was by complete force.

“Can you tell her to get out?” Nae said as she walked in. Does she ever stop being a bitch for two seconds?

“Little girl, if you don’t shut up for ten seconds, you’re gonna see why I’m from Brooklyn,” I glared at her before shifting my attention to Blake. “There’s something you need to know and I suggest you sit down before she comes in,” I told Blake. She nodded and sat on the couch; it’s nice to know she still trusts me.

“You’re just gonna listen to her!?” Nae asked her. I pushed past her again and got Paris out of the car.

Drake’s P.O.V.

“So you served him?” I asked Nicki as we sat down at Cold Stone. My was devouring her ice cream; she looked like she was enjoying it. “Slow down baby girl before you get a brain freeze,” I rubbed her hair before turning my attention back at Nicki.

“Yep so this begins the process,” she sighed. I knew this was gonna be a long journey but My was worth it.

“It’ll work out for the best,” I rubbed her hand before eating some of my ice cream.

“Well if it isn’t Ms. I Have a Man,” I heard a voice say to Nicki. She laughed before standing up.

“Hi Daven,” she smiled. Who the fuck is Daven and why is she smiling like that?

“Wassup Onika,” he gave her a hug. I sat here trying to figure out who he is.

“Who’s this cutie?” Nicki asked him referring to the baby girl on his hip.

“This my baby niece Nyra,” he tickled her stomach which made her giggle. I knew that little girl, that’s for sure.

“Your family didn’t go easy on the names huh?” Nicki joked. He laughed with her before I cleared my throat. “Oh Daven, this is my daughter Mylan and my man Drake,” she introduced us.

“Wassup man,” he dapped me up before smiling at My.

“Hi beautiful,” he told her.

“Hi,” My said shyly.

“I gotta go but I’ll probably see you again,” he smirked at Nicki who returned it.

“We’ll see,” she spoke before he left. She sat down and didn’t notice my gaze at her.

“Who was he?” I was still staring at her.

“Just some guy who I ran into this morning,” she said lightly while eating her ice cream.

“Y’all seemed pretty close for people who just met,” I spoke smartly. She finally looked up at me.

“Awww you’re jealous,” she smiled. Of course I’m jealous, they just met and he was all up on her like they’ve known each other for years.

“He already knows your real name and he’s hugging you?” I threw questions at her.

“He’s just friendly and besides he’s not my type anyway,” she brushed it off.

“Not your type?” I scrunched my face up. She had an actual type?

“He looks young and I’m not into young men as you can tell,” she motioned to me. I knew she was into older guys.

“He looked your age,” I responded. He doesn’t seem that young if you ask me.

“Exactly,” she smirked before eating more. I guess I got nothing to worry about.

Blake’s P.OV.

Mere’s here in my house; I thought I wouldn’t see her again. I wonder what’s so big that she broke her word to herself. She looked happier well until she saw Nae who’s still tripping. I looked up and saw Mere; I guess I was too focused on Mere until I heard someone clear their throat.

“Paris?” I looked at her in confusion. She sat down next to me as Mere leaned against the wall. Nae was sitting on the recliner while staring, more like glaring, at Mere.

“I have to tell you something important,” she spoke softly. Mere moved from the wall and sat next to Paris.

“You can do it,” she whispered to her. I got slightly jealous, what the hell happened between them to make them so close? If she’s about to tell me that they’re together, I just might jump my own cousin.

“I’ve known this for about a month now. Have you ever compared yourself to me? Like our features and birthmarks that are similar?” She asked me.

“Yeah so?” I shrugged. We look similar, we’re related so what’s bad about that?

“Blake you don’t get it,” she looked away from me. Mere rubbed her hand and whispered something I couldn’t hear.

“What are you gonna tell me? That you two are together?” I snapped. Mere slightly chuckled while Paris looked at me like I was crazy.

“Blake, I’m not gay,” she scrunched up her face.

“Oh,” I felt stupid now. Mere wouldn’t stop laughing before Paris joined in.

“She thought you and I,” she laughed while Paris wiped a tear that fell.

“That’s not what I was gonna tell you. It’s something about our family,” she explained. I was now lost. “Blake you and I are-,” she stopped herself. “Can you tell her,” she begged Mere. Mere sighed before standing in front of me. It was kinda sexy wait no, it wasn’t. I don’t even know what I’m thinking.

“You and Paris are twins,” she blurted out. I stared at her in shock before laughing. Noticing that no one was laughing with me, I stood up in front Paris.

“What the hell Paris!? You’re telling me this is true and you’ve known for a month!? A FUCKING MONTH?!” I yelled at her. She closed her eyes and sighed.

“Calm down,” Mere said but I didn’t listen.

“You were smiling up my face knowing this!? You’re no better than my whore of a mother,” I spat.

“Blake sit your ass down!” Mere glared at me. I turned and looked at her in shock.

“Why the fuck should I!? How long have you known? Is this why you quit because you couldn’t look at me without blurting this out!?” I looked at her hatred.

“Blakelynn sit your fucking ass down before I make you,” she spoke softly.

“Make me,” I crossed my arms. She rolled her eyes before pushing me down on the couch and standing in front of me so I couldn’t move. She’s a lot stronger than I thought and that’s a turn on. Wait no it’s not; damn damn damn Blake! What the hell; she’s gonna be the death of me.

"Are you gonna calm down now?" She raised an eyebrow at me. I didn't trust myself to speak so I just slowly nodded.

Nicki’s P.O.V.

“Blake where are you!?” I yelled throughout the house. I walked in the living room confused. Nae was on the recliner pissed, Paris had her head in her hands, and Blake and Mere were having a stare down. “Hello?” I waved my hand between them. “What’s going on?” I looked around.

“Why don’t you tell her Paris? Tell her how much of a liar you are!” She snapped at her. Who done pissed Blake off to the point where she’s this mad?

“If I have to tell your ass to calm down one more time,” Mere threatened her. Blake went silent and that’s a first. No one usually puts Blake in her place because she rarely goes off like this.

“Tell me what?” I looked around the room. There was so much tension in this room that I was almost afraid of the answer.

“Blake and Paris are twins,” Mere told me. Something clicked in my head and now everything made so much sense.

“That explains so much! Wait so that means you’re my cousin/possible sister?” I looked at Paris who nodded. “Wassup fam!?” I pulled Paris into a hug. I just wanted to lighten the tension in the air.

“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me,” Blake looked at Paris.

“I found out a month ago and I was trying to figure out if it was true and then everything added up. I was going to tell you,” she said with her eyes watering.

“Well why didn’t you?” Nae snapped from the couch; here comes drama.

“You shut up,” Mere pointed at her. Nae seemed a little intimidated by her but refused to show it. Shit Mere is from Brooklyn, I’d be scared too.

“Naw let that bitch speak. What’s wrong Jaznae? You know I’ve never liked your ass so please tell me what’s on your mind. I might have been born in Cali but I grew up in Atlanta so I can go from zero to a hundred real quick,” she stood up and so did Nae. Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, Drake, Shad, and Cassie walked in. I told them to stay in the car.

“Mere!” Cassie ran to hug her. Mere let out a small smile before hugging her back.

“Bad time?” Aubrey looked at me; I nodded. It's the worst possible time for them to come in.

“Naw you can watch me beat this bitch’s ass,” Nae said while stepping to Paris.

“I dare you bitch!” Paris stepped to her. Drake pushed Paris back while Shad pushed Nae back.

“This is insane,” I shook my head.

“I need some space,” Blake said before walking away. A minute passed and then Mere went after her. Nae was too busy trying to beat up Paris.

“Can’t we just let them fight?” Cassie suggested but quickly went quiet when I glared at her. “Okay maybe that’s not a good idea,” she backed away.

Chimere’s P.O.V.

“She’s my sister, no she’s my twin. How the hell did I not notice that? How could my mom not tell me? She a liar and a whore, that’s perfect. This is too much and then Mere’s here. That’s just distracting; get her out of your mind Blake. Think about Nae, Nae wants to fight Paris. Great life I have here,” Blake rambled as she paced back and forth on the porch. I leaned against the door and just observed her. Clearing my throat, I made myself known. She turned and locked eyes with me.

“How much of that did you hear?” She winced.

“Only as much as you wanted me to hear,” I put my hands up in surrender. She let out a small smile before sitting on the stairs leading up to the porch. I sat next to her and waited for her to talk.

“You didn’t know all this time did you?” She sighed.

“I just found out yesterday and told her to tell you,” I explained. She already knew that I wouldn’t do that to her no matter how mad I am at her.

“Sorry for snapping at you. I just had too many emotions going on,” she apologized.

“It’s cool Blakelynn,” I accepted. She’s was emotional so I didn’t take any of the shit she said to heart.

“There you go calling me Blakelynn again,” she let out a dark chuckle. There she goes crossing the line I put between us.

“I think I should go,” I was about to stand but her hand stopped me.

“I’m sorry for everything. I shouldn’t have flaunted my relationship with Nae in your face. I shouldn’t have led you on and I shouldn’t have kissed you back,” she mumbled the last part.

“There’s the difference between us; I don’t regret kissing you,” I stood up and was about to walk away before she called my name.

“What Blake?” I turned around. She was about to say something but Nae walked out. She glared at me before asking Blake if she was okay. Where was she five minutes ago? I got in the car and waited for Paris. She came out quickly and I drove away.

Drake’s P.O.V.

The next day, I was going to the store to get Nicki some of her favorite things. She was a mess after last night. Her and Nae got into it, Nae and Paris got into it, Nae and Cassie got into it, and Nae and Mere got into it. You see the common denominator here? As I was getting out of my car about to head up the stairs to my house, a guy motioned for me to come over to him. I looked at him in confusion.

“You’re the man right?” He asked me.

“What?” I think he’s a little insane.

“Naw you’re Onika’s boyfriend right?” He clarified. I still wasn’t comfortable with him saying Nicki birth name.

“Yeah, why?” I sized him up. He had nothing on me; he was a kid.

“I ain’t tryna start no drama. Just give her my number for me; I’m just tryna be friends,” he handed me a piece of paper before walking to a house. It was Kolbie’s house; don’t tell me that nigga lives right next door. I went into the house and gave Nicki her favorite stuff before going into the bathroom. I looked at his number before laughing. Tossing it into the trash, I left the bathroom.

Nicki’s P.O.V.

I walked into the bathroom to pee. I’m exhausted from last night. Everything just blew up but I got Paris’s number. Since we’re family, I might as well try to get to know her. As I flushed the toilet, I noticed a note crumbed up in the trash. Being curious, I grabbed it. I opened it up and laughed.

Aye Ms. I Have a Man,

I ain’t tryna push up on ya but thought you should have my number to keep in touch. You seem chill and I could use a friend here in NY. I just moved here with my sis and niece. I just wanna hang as long as you ain’t gonna bump into me.

         Daven

I turned it around and his number was there. I smirked slightly before putting it in my pocket. I bet he gave it to Aubrey and he threw it away. I don’t see why, he’s harmless. What does he’s not my type does Aubrey not get. He’ll get over it because I just gained a new friend.

I'm writing part 4 right now and just thought of an epic way to end this story. Now I think y'all are gonna hate me less for part 2 and more for the final chapter.

  1. Ugh Nae needs to go like frfr . I love the fact that Mere put her feelings aside to help Paris out . I get Blake getting mad but she needed to chill and Mere sat her in her place . Lol at Nicki walking in at the worse time . Why do I feel like Daven is the reason why we'll be mad at chapter 35 . And what did you do for the final chapter ? If you killed Nicki off then imma ball . Lol great post .

  2. If you have to kill someone off then can it be Nae? She gets on my nerves but I take that back because I might start to like her by part 4. Daven go comfortable a lil too quick playboy. I'm keeping an eye on him. Mere is like such a boss and I love when she sets people in their place. Her and Blake are cute tbh and I'm just sitting here like an idiot waiting for them to get together. Nae needs help and then I'll see if she should be with Blake. Great chapter! Can't wait for Thursday. Did I mention that I LOVE that you update three times a week? You're the real MVP lol.
