Chapter 26: Looking Up

Part 2: Love Lockdown

Drake’s P.O.V.

I was outside smoking a blunt when I felt Nicki wrap her arms around me. “Let me hit,” she said softly. I passed it to her as I looked out at the view. I turned and looked at Kolbie’s house. She made it her mission to avoid me and I was doing the same. Sooner or later, we have to talk; I needed some answers.

“We need twelve girls to make an all star team,” I told her. Everything changed since that last practice. Girl quit from left to right and I wouldn’t blame them. Our team was a mess after everything.

“Well we have Blake, Nae, Yana, CeeJay, and I. That’s five so all we need is seven,” I couldn’t help but think that this was impossible.

“We need to find people,” I looked at her. She nodded. It’s been about two months since Cassie disappeared and Shad was a mess. We’ve been trying to make this team happen but with so many people quitting, it’s hard to find new people.

“I’ll make some calls,” she said as she walked out. I needed to make some calls too; I know some people. I grabbed my phone and called my cousin.

“Hello?” Her voice came through the phone.

“What’s up Ace,” I smiled.

“Drake! Oh my god, how are you!? I haven’t talked to you in forever,” she exclaimed. I told her my situation and she laughed. “You need me?” I could feel her smirking.

“You’ve always wanted to come out here right?” I asked.

“Yeah, give me two days and I’ll be there,” I hung up and let out a small smile. Now we have seven. When I went into the kitchen, Nicki was on the phone with someone. I grabbed a water and went to My’s room.

“Wake up baby girl,” I rubbed her face softly. She would always oversleep and each day it got harder to wake her so I had to go to drastic measures.

“Leave me alone daddy,” she grumbled before turning over. She tried to go back to sleep but I wasn’t having that.

“You leave me no choice but to dump water all over you,” I grabbed my water bottle and slowly unscrewed the cap knowing what was about to happen.

“No!” She instantly popped up. I would never dump water on her but it does get her up.

“Then get up,” I picked her up and brought her to the bathroom. She rubbed her eyes and stretched while trying to wake up “I’ll be downstairs,” I kissed her before walking down the stairs.

Nicki’s P.O.V.

“Come on Ava,” I pleaded through the phone. She was my friend from middle school but she moved to a different school for high school.

“Nic, I’m a cheerleader. I don’t know shit about dancing,” she said and I agreed with her but at this point I was desperate.

“I can teach you,” I’m a great teacher and it’s not that hard to pick up on the dances. I guess it’s not hard for me because I’m a natural.

“You really need me?” She finally gave in and I was thrilled. I would’ve worn her down one way or another.

“Yes!” That means we have seven girls and we only need a few more.

“Alright, I don’t live far away so just inform me about the practices,” we hung up and I squealed in excitement.

“I got my cousin Ace,” Aubrey said as I turned around. He scared the life out of me but I was happy we have eight girls now. This is going better than I thought it would.

“I got my friend Ava,” I walked over to him. He eyed me for a second before smiling.

“That’s seven,” he said excitedly and picked me up. I laughed as he leaned in to kiss me. I kissed him back before backing up. “Your birthday is in next week,” he whispered as he sucked on my neck.

“You gonna give it to me Papi?” I moaned out to him as he gripped my ass.

“Imma give it to you so good that you won’t be able to walk,” he pulled back and smirked at me. He’s always saying that but I don’t believe it. He’ll just have to prove it.

“Sure,” I rolled my eyes playfully. I’m nervous but also excited because there’s no one in this world that I would want to lose my virginity with except for Aubrey.

“Just you wait,” he pecked my lips one more time before putting me down. Cassie is still gone and I don’t think she’s coming back. It’s kind of sad because she didn’t do it. I don’t know why she would lie. I refuse to talk to my Auntie and so does Blake. She’s been staying with Chimere, which Nae isn’t happy about. Auntie explained that Blake might be my father’s child or her actual dad’s kid. It’s a fifty percent chance. It’s weird to think that Blake and I might be sisters.

“I’m gonna call Blake and have her and Mere call some people,” I informed Aubrey because calling. They should know people who can dance or at least someone willing to dance.

Blake’s P.O.V.

“Okay, I can see what I can do. Alright see you later Nika,” I hung up and continued cooking. I might be able to convince my cousin on my dad’s side. Well I guess friend/cousin. Who knows who my father is? I rolled my eyes at my mom’s pettiness.

“Good morning,” Mere said as she came into the kitchen. She was in shorts and a tank much like me. We always wear similar things which is strange but I’m not complaining.

“Good afternoon,” I corrected her. She sleeps way past the morning time and I gave up trying to wake her up. She’s a heavy sleeper and not the nicest person when woken up.

“Dang, I slept that long?” She rubbed her eyes and stretched.

“Yep, I’m cooking lunch,” I turned to smile at her. She hugged me before thanking me.

“I’ll set the table,” she took off. Nae was still uncomfortable with me staying with Mere but Nae knew I couldn’t stay with her. Her sister and her only have two bedrooms and I was not about to sleep on the couch. Mere had two extra bedrooms so I was good. Plus Mere is just my friend so Nae just needs to trust me. After I fixed lunch, I sat it on the table. I grabbed my phone and texted Paris, asking her to be on the dance team.

“My girl Danielle said she would do it,” Mere said before taking a sip of her water.

“My cousin, possible cousin, said she would do it,” I sighed. This whole thing is so stressful for me and it’s honestly too overwhelming.

“It’s gonna be okay Blake,” Mere said before grabbing my hand.

“I just can’t believe my mom,” I admitted. She ruined my entire childhood with that confession. I now understood why my dad left me.

“I know but this will all blow over. Whoever your father is doesn’t change who you are. You’re still Blake and nothing is gonna change that okay?” She locked eyes with me. I nodded before finishing my lunch. There are some awkward moments between Mere and I because she had feelings for me and vice versa but she respects the fact that I’m with Nae.

Ace’s P.O.V.

I grabbed my luggage and looked for Drake. I spotted him with a hat on. “Drake!” I squealed before jumping on him.

“Wassup cuz,” he smiled. He looked over my shoulder and sighed. “Oh hell naw,” he said playfully when he saw James. “What are you doing here?” He asked him.

“I came with my sis. I ain’t missing the opportunity to come out here,” James tried to be cool but he’s a loser.

“Well since you’re here, you’re gonna be on the team,” he patted his back before turning around.

“Ain’t it an all girls team? Not that I have a problem with girls shaking their asses in my face,” James smirked.

“Naw, all stars have no rules,” Drake led us to the car.

Nae’s P.O.V.

“I don’t like that you stay over there,” I told Blake as we laid on my bed. I don’t trust that bitch because she never liked me.

“And I told you to trust me,” she sighed. She has way too much faith in Chimere but I’m watching her ass.

“I do trust you-,” I started but she cut me off.

“Then act like it. I’m not gonna do anything. Why would I?” She shot me a look.

“I know, I’m sorry. I need to just trust you,” I apologized. She paused before crawling over to me and sitting on my lap.

“I’m not gonna do anything, okay?” She locked eyes with me. I nodded before bringing my lips to her. She kissed me back as things got heated. “You’re gonna get me into trouble,” she joked. I cracked a smile before kissing her and taking off her jacket.

Cassie’s P.O.V.

“You’re a smart girl Cass,” he smirked at me.

“Leave me the hell alone,” I snapped.

“You know I can’t do that. You wouldn’t want me to hurt poor Nika or even better, her sister,” he smirked.

“You need to leave them alone,” I snapped.

“I could also hurt you parents or Shad. He seems like someone who should die. You know me and my gang could kill him in a heartbeat,” he smiled.

“What do I have to do for you to leave everyone alone?” I looked up at him.

“You know what to do,” he went and locked the door. I sighed as we went through this routine. He took my hoodie and kissed me. I hate the life out of him. “You’re getting fat, cut back on the snacks babe,” he joked before pulling down his pants.

Nicki’s P.O.V.

“So between all the girls, we have ten girls and James,” Aubrey told me.

“We need one more,” I bit my lips because I know what he was about to say. Cassie isn’t anywhere to be found and I don’t think she wants to be found.

“You know you need to find her,” I rolled my eyes because I’ve already tried. I should just leave her alone.

“How am I supposed to know where she is?” I laid my head on his chest. I’m tired of having to do everything.

“Do you know anywhere she might have moved?” He asked. I quickly got up and grabbed my keys. I couldn’t believe that I never thought of this.

“I’ll be back!” I shouted before rushing to Mere’s house. I grabbed them and CeeJay with Shad. CeeJay, Mere, Blake, Shad and I were headed to the north side. There’s a bunch of rich kids over here. I know in order to convince her mom to move, she had to move to Jefferson.

“Stop the car!” Blake shouted. I slammed on my breaks and looked at Blake. “Look over there,” she pointed towards a girl outside of her house. It was Cassie! She was getting the mail.

“We gotta approach her slowly so she won’t run,” Shad informed us. She looked weird from afar and I noticed something that I hoped wasn’t true.

“Surround her,” Mere said as we got out of the car. Her back was to us as we slowly surrounded her. She would try to make a run for it if she saw us.

“Cassie,” Shad called her, making her jump. She took a deep breath before turning around.

“What the hell?” She looked at all of us in shock. I cringed at the sight of her. No matter how much makeup she slammed on her face, you can clearly see the black eye. “What are you guys doing here?” She crossed her arms and tried to give us as much attitude that she could manage.
“Who the hell did that to your face Cass?” Shad stepped closer to her but she backed away.

“It was him, wasn’t it?” I glared at her. How could she have not told me?

“You all need to leave right now,” she could yell all she wants but we all see right through her bullshit.

“What happened to you Cass?” CeeJay whispered.

“Please just go,” she pleaded. She looked so broken and had no emotion in her eyes. It was like she turned heartless.

“That nigga putting his hands on you?” Shad glared at her. She was silent as we stared at her. I could tell Shad was pissed at the thought of a man putting his hands on her.

“Shouldn’t you all be mad at me?” She locked eyes with me.

“We know you didn’t do it,” I stared back but she quickly broke it. I knew she was about to lie

“Yes I did,” she tried but I shook my head at her.

“We saw the footage Cassie,” Blake said softly. She threw her head back and let out a long sigh.

“You people need to leave,” she stated before walking away. She didn’t get that far until she passed out.

“Oh my god!” I shouted as we rushed over to her. She was out cold. “Call 911!” Shad said to Blake. I hope she’s okay.

Drake’s P.O.V.

“How’s Jhene?” James asked me. I shook my head and let out a sigh.

“She’s not good. She showed up at my house with bruises and she refuses to tell me who did it. I’m still tryna figure out whose ass I gotta kick,” I told him. I noticed Ace become silent. “You know something?” I snapped my eyes towards her. She nodded slowly before talking.

“Aubrey, your dad is beating her,” she said softly. I stood up quickly and put on my shoes. “That’s not all!” She shouted at, me causing me to stop.

“What else?” I turned to her.

“He’s raping her,” she avoided eye contact. I hoped in my car with James right on my heels. I grabbed my gun out the back with only one plan. That nigga gonna die tonight.

First off, welcome to Part 2: Love Lockdown. Yes, I got it from Kanye's song. Next, since I've already written chapters 27-50 for this part, I will be posting on Tuesdays AND Thursdays at 6 p.m. on the dot; Eastern Standard Time. I have it all scheduled so it won't ever be late. I'm already on chapter 63 for part 3. Part three is my favorite of them all. Warning, starting at chapter 35, y'all are gonna hate me and Drake then maybe Nicki. You all will be mad at the end. I'm also working on another story that I'm not sure if I'll post or not but I feel like it's better than this one. Anyway, enjoy the story!

  2. I don't wanna hate you or Drake. Lol, I'm really excited for this part. It seems interesting already. I hope Cassie opens up and gets better, as well as, Jhene. Hopefully Drake doesn't catch a case. I feel like Chimere might come on to Blake though, I don't think she's fully lost her feelings for her. Can't wait to see what happens next. Great start! :)
