Chapter 37: Have Faith in Me

Drake’s P.O.V.

Damn right I’m scared of her right now. Nothing’s worse than a mad black woman. “Who told you?” I sighed as I sat on the bed. How does she find out everything? I swear she has people watching me or something.

“Doesn’t matter, why didn’t you? Were you even gonna tell me?” She let some tears escape; now I felt like an ass. I knew I should have told her.

“I was but I couldn’t figure out how,” I cursed myself for making her cry. I hate it when she cries and she knows that.

“Do you still love her?” She asked the one question that I didn’t want to answer. It was silent for a while before Nicki shot up and tried to leave. I grabbed her quickly and pulled her to me. “You still love her!” She cried as she tried to push me away.

“Not like that. I have love for her just like Nebby but I’m in love with you baby,” I tried to calm her down but she kept hitting me.

“I hate you! I hate you for making me feel like this,” she finally just broke down in my arms. I pulled her closer and kissed her head.

“Nothing is gonna happen. We were friends before we got together and we were friends afterwards,” I assured her. She pushed me away and grabbed a pillow and blanket. “You’re sleeping on the couch?” I scrunched my eyebrows.

“No, you are,” she pushed me out of the door and threw them in my face before she slammed the door. I sighed before making my way to the couch.

Blake’s P.O.V.

His eyes looked exactly like mine. I’ve always wondered what my father looked like. Seeing him in person is almost like it’s a dream. He looked like I imagined but at the same time he didn’t.

“Dad look, Blakelynn’s here!” Carly pointed to me. I guess that just confirmed his thoughts because he was looking at me in shock; surprise.

“Come on guys,” Shad told them as he brought them upstairs. There was an awkward silence between us. I shook my head and let out a bitter laugh.

“I’ve always wondered how you looked; if I had your eyes or your nose. I had always wondered what I would say if I ever saw you; I had it all planned out but now fuck it. I didn’t come here to bother you or anything, I just wanted you to have this,” I sat the paper on the couch and left. He still stood there in shock. I waited outside after sending Shad a text. I’m getting the fuck out of here.

Shad’s P.O.V.

I walked downstairs to see dad still in shock. “Dad!” I waved my hand in front of him. He freezes up when something big happens and I guess this was something big.

“That was Blakelynn?” He turned to me. It looked like he couldn’t believe that was her but then again he hasn’t seen her since she was like three.

“Yeah and that piece of paper on the couch confirms that you are her father,” I told him. He moved quickly to the couch and grabbed the paper. He read the paper and a tear escaped his eye. I have never seen my Dad cry a day in his life so this was new to me.

“They’re my daughters?” He looked up at me. He looked so happy and shocked at the same time. I nodded before talking.

“Yeah, Paris is in New York but Blake wanted you to have that,” I shrugged. He rushed outside and I followed him.

“Blakelynn!” He called to her. She turned around and was immediately wrapped in his embraced. “I’m so sorry for all the years I’ve missed out. Your mother said you weren’t mine and she showed me test results and everything,” he whispered to her. It took her a second but she finally wrapped her arms around him. I left seeing that they were having a moment.

Daven’s P.O.V.

“I’m going out, don’t wait up,” I grabbed my keys. I was not feeling the fact that Jaymie lied to me again. She lies about shit and I’m sick of it.

“Daven! Please don’t do this. Talk to me!” Jaymie pleaded. She’s been bothering me a while but I’ve been done listening.

“Why don’t you talk to the ass who took your virginity,” I walked out and got in my car. I waited a few seconds and then she got in. I drove and noticed she was quiet. “Where do you wanna go?” I asked her.

“Anywhere but there; fuck both of them to be honest,” Nicki sighed. I drove until I couldn’t drive anymore. I had no idea where we were. “Wait, my dad’s house is right over there,” she told me. I pulled up there and we just sat in silence. “I can’t believe he was jealous of me hanging out with you when he was hanging out with her,” she pouted.

“Well unlike them, we’re not hiding the fact that we hang out,” I shot her a small smile before we got out. They had no right to hide that from us and it just made things worse.

“My dad and brother are out this weekend,” she said before we walked in. A dog ran towards her and started barking. “Hey Coco!” She bent down and hugged the dog. She ran away afterwards and Nicki showed me to the living room. We sat on the couch and just stared at each other. “Do you think he will cheat on me?” She had tears swell in her eyes.

“He’ll be an idiot to cheat on a girl like you,” I mumbled. I don’t think Drake is that stupid but I don’t know him personally so maybe he is.

“A girl like me?” She looked confused. She really doesn’t know the kind of girl she is and that made me question things that happened in her past to make her not think that.

“You’re a girl that guys would wife up. You’re amazing and you are everything anyone could everyone want in a girl; mind, body, and soul,” I said truthfully. She smiled at me before moving closer.

“You’re too sweet,” she laid her head on my chest. I just let my hand run down her hair as she got comfortable.

“Yeah, Jaymie thinks I’m too nice,” I sighed. She always wanted me to be not as nice as I am but that was one of the things that attracted her at first. Jaymie doesn’t know what she wants and I’m sick of trying to figure it out.

“There aren’t many nice men in this world. You’re special and from what I’ve seen on the basketball court, you don’t have any problem being aggressive,” she joked. I laughed with her before it grew silent.

“You know if I wasn’t in a relationship right now, I would kiss you,” I spoke bluntly. She looked shocked for a moment before smirking, “And if I wasn’t in a relationship, I just might let you.”

~

We got back when it was dark and I parked in my driveway. “Thanks for today, I need to get away,” she smiled at me. It was like a break from the real world and I needed that too.

“Anytime Nic,” I said as we got out. I hugged her and kissed her forehead.

“Go make up with your girl,” she grinned.

“Go make up with your guy,” I grinned back before letting her go. I walked in and the lights were off; bet everyone’s sleep. I went upstairs and opened my bedroom door. Jaymie jumped up when she saw me. She ran into my arms and apologized over and over. “Don’t lie to me anymore,” I told her as we pulled away. She bit her lips before nodding.

“Let me show you how sorry I am,” she said before dropping her robe.

Nicki’s P.O.V.

Being with Daven was relaxing but now I have to face the drama. I walked in and Drake was sitting at the table with My. It was ten so she should be asleep.

“What are you still doing up?” I asked her as I walked closer. She looked exhausted and that made me worry.

“She had a bad dream,” Aubrey answered. I am not trying to hear his voice right about now.

“Why are you still up My?” I completely ignored him. He sensed that and huffed in frustration.

“I had a bad dream about monsters,” she mumbled. I picked her up and brought her to her room. I think I know what made her have a bad dream.

“Did you sleep in the dark?” I questioned even though I already knew the answer. She nodded and I put her in her bed before I turned her nightlight on. “There shouldn’t be any more monsters,” I kissed her forehead before leaving. Aubrey forgot to turn on her nightlight. If it’s not on, she’s get scared. I went into my room and saw Aubrey waiting for me. I moved around him and got changed.

“Where were you?” He looked at me. I walked into the bathroom and tied my hair up. “I’m sorry Onika, is that what you want to hear?” He walked into the bathroom.

“I want you to actually mean it,” I pushed past him and climbed into the bed. He always says shit because he knows that I want to hear it but he never means anything.

“I do mean it. Baby, Jaymie is only a friend. I’ve been texting her for years as just a friend,” he admitted. If she was just a friend then why did they act like they didn’t know each other?

“It better stay that way,” I snapped. I didn’t even like them being friends but I’ll trust him for now.

“Same with you and Daven,” he snapped back. Now he has to shut up because Daven and I are just friends and we don’t hide that.

“The moment you step out of line, it’s gonna get bad. I believe my name is Karma so if you hurt me, I’ll hurt you worse,” I promised him.

“Not planning on it,” he got on the bed and pulled me close. “So were you with him?” I heard him ask into my neck.

“Goodnight Aubrey,” I turned the light off and went to sleep.

Nae’s P.O.V.

I walked inside of Target to get some stuff before meeting him. Aaron was on my right with his arm around me.

“Babe, I’m gonna get some beer,” he kissed me before walking in that direction. He stays drinking that but I don’t mind. It’s not like I don’t stay popping pills. I went to pick up some more lipstick. As I grabbed one, I bumped into someone.

“Oh, I’m sorry,” she said. I turned around and locked eyes with Blake. It was awkward for a minute until she heard Chimere call her name from the other aisle. She started walking but turned to look at me one more time. To make things even worse, Aaron walked back and wrapped his arms around my waist.

“You got what you need baby?” He mumbled into my neck. I turned and looked at Blake but she just shook her head before walking off. She knows exactly who he is and now she’s just gonna assume things. Great, now she’s gonna think I’m an even worse person than she already thinks.

“Yeah,” I sighed before we left. “I’ll meet you in the car,” I told him before walking to the side of the store. I saw him and started walking to him. “Here,” I handed him the pills.

“Thanks,” he mumbled while passing me the money.

“No problem Drake,” I smirked before walking off.

Chapter 36: My Other Half

Blake’s P.O.V.

Previously

Paris, Blake, Drake, Mere, Cassie, Shad, Dad, Caiah, Mylan, and I were all crowding around the table in my living room. The results were finally in. It was like everyone was scared to look inside.

“I just want you two to know that no matter what’s in this envelope, nothing will change,” Dad promised them. They nodded as he opened it.

“Wait!” Blake said. Paris turned to her and tried to calm her down. “Okay, go on,” she wiped some tears. They stood together wrapped in each other’s arms to await their faith.

~

“And it says that Paris and Blakelynn are not my kids,” he finished. I let out a sigh of relief. There’s nothing wrong with Nicki’s Dad but I didn’t wanna be his kid.

“Thank god,” Paris sighed. Everyone cheered as we got over it. I nodded towards the kitchen and he followed. I turned around and Shad was standing in front of me.

“Give me his number,” I demanded. I had to have it at the moment. He can finally know that we’re actually his children.

“I knew you would ask that,” he smirked. I crossed my arms and let out a small smile. Shad and that stupid smirk gets him in trouble.

“Well what kind of half brother would you be if you didn’t?” I tilted my head. Yeah, Shad’s my half brother. I connected the dots and confronted him not too long ago.

“Whatever,” he laughed while telling me his number. I grabbed my phone before typing it in and saving it.

“I can’t believe that you made me think that you liked me!” I hit his chest. He legit made me think that and now that’s absolutely disgusting to think about.

“I had to do something to keep an eye on you,” he shrugged. He could’ve thought of a better plan than that. I swear he doesn’t think sometimes.

“As far as he knows, I’m not his daughter okay?” I cocked an eyebrow at him. I didn’t want him to know yet. I don’t know why but he doesn’t deserve to know yet.

“Whatever you say sis,” he held his hands up. I learned that he’ll do anything I say and it’s nice to know that. Being a little sister comes in handy.

“Actually could you take me to his house?” I pleaded. I thought a surprise visit would be nice to do. I don’t know if I would want to hug him or tell him off.

“What about Paris?” He looked back in the living room. Paris can suck it up and I’ll deal with it later. She doesn’t understand this like I do. I’ve known since he left that he walked out of my life. She just found out a couple of months ago so I think I have the upper hand on this one.

“This is something that I need to do for myself,” I walked over to the table and grabbed the results before anyone could notice. I ran and made a copy before returning them and stuffing the copy in my purse. Paris might hate me after this but I’ll call us even.

Jaymie’s P.O.V.

“So this is what you do when you have free time?” His voice scared the life out of me. He needs to stop doing that shit! I’ve always been easy to scare and he enjoys that.

“I’m gonna hurt you the next time you scare me like that!” I snapped at Aubrey as he came and sat on the couch. “Who let you in?” I asked because Daven was out.

“Kolbie, she was leaving with Nyra when she saw me,” he shrugged. Great, I’ll never hear the end of this from her.

“Did she laugh?” I grinned. Kolbie always joked that we were soul mates and all that extra bullshit. I think she was the one hurt the most when we finally broke up.

“Yeah, she said I knew you two would find each other again,” he grinned back. I didn’t even know that he was still living in New York. The last time we texted, he said that he was thinking about moving down south. I thought he did that but I guess something kept him here, or someone for that matter.

“So your girl looks young. How old is she?” I looked at him. She looked really young like she was still in high school.

“Same age as your boy,” he stated. I knew that he was gonna say something about Daven’s age but I didn’t wanna hear it.

“She’s eighteen?” My eyes bucked out. I knew that she looked young but I didn’t think that I was right about that.

“Yep, what is someone like you doing with a boy like him?” He sat up a bit. Here we go with this conversation.

“I got screwed over by guys older than me so when I met him, I went with it. He’s sweet,” I smiled. Daven’s been the sweetest boyfriend that I’ve ever had so I don’t mind that he’s a few years younger than me.

“Do you love him?” He lied back again. I tensed up at that question because I didn’t exactly know how to answer it. Love is such a complicated word.

“Yeah I guess,” I shrugged while placing my feet in his lap. I mean we’ve been together for a while and we say I love you.

“You guess?” He cocked an eyebrow. Of course he wants me to explain this answer and I didn’t know how to.

“I mean I do love him but I’ve loved other people harder than I’ve loved him,” I elaborated. I’ve loved a lot of my old boyfriends more than Daven and that includes Aubrey.

“I feel you,” he nodded.

“What about you? Do you love her?” I was curious. She’s pretty and they seemed like they were really into each other yesterday so I could see it.

“Yeah, she’s my world man. I love that girl too much,” he had a glow. I smiled as I saw how much he really cared about her. He doesn’t glow that often so she must be pretty important to him.

“You never even glowed that much when you talked about Nebby,” I looked at him weird. He loved Nebby with everything in him so that’s surprising.

“I love her more than I ever loved Nebby,” he said simply. I guess he’s pretty committed to this girl more than he ever was to Nebby.

“Do you love her more than you love me?” I raised an eyebrow. He looked over at me as I let a grin cross my face.

“Now don’t do that to me. You know the love I have for you is different,” he rubbed my feet. I knew that he would say that but I’m not accepting that answer.

“Elaborate please,” I laid my head back as his hands relaxed me. He’s always been good at foot massages and I’ve always needed them from those damn heels.

“I’ve known you for most of my life. You were there before Nebby. You were my first time and there was a point in my life where I swore you would be my wife,” he tried to explain.

“You mean that?” I was shocked. I had no idea that he used to care for me that way. I always thought that we were just first love sweethearts.

“I wouldn’t lie to you Jayms,” he locked eyes with me. He never lies to me and I appreciate that and I do the same to him.

“Well then your girl is very lucky,” I smirked. She’s lucky that she has someone like Aubrey because he’s pretty amazing.

“Your boy is lucky too. I don’t know how you think he could handle you in the bedroom though,” he laughed. Here we go with his cockiness.

“He can handle me better than you ever could,” I mouthed off. I knew that I was talking shit but I was not about to let him play Daven like that.

“Bet,” he shook his head. He never would believe me and I don’t even believe myself. It’s different when I have sex with Daven. He’s a romantic but sometimes I wish that he was more aggressive in the bedroom.

“I’m serious!” I hit him. He thinks that every girl he had sex with thinks of him as the best that they ever had.

“How many orgasms do you hit with him?” He pulled me closer. Now he wants the true answers and I wasn’t gonna lie to him.

“Four,” I whispered. I knew what he was gonna say next and just for that I hate him. Daven was great in bed but Aubrey was pure perfection.

“And how many did you hit with me?” He pushed some hair out of my face. I smile a little as his fingers brushed my face.

“I don’t know,” I blushed. That was so long ago and it’s not like I wanna actually tell him the answer to this one.

“I know you remember,” he tilted my head up. We locked eyes and I knew that I couldn’t lie to him.

“I really don’t know; I lost count after eight,” I said truthfully. We used to go round after round with each other.

“Point proven,” he had a grin. I pushed him before laughing.

Blake’s P.O.V.

“How’d you sneak away from Cassie?” I asked Shad as flew through the sky. We had to go from New York to New Orleans. Why does he have to live so far away though I’ve always wanted to go to New Orleans. I’ve heard so many great things about that city and just the vibe from it.

“I told her I was visiting my dad which is true,” he responded. I guess that’s not really a surprise to her because he visits all the time.

“I can’t believe you’re my brother,” I shook my head. It’s hard to believe that just because it’s so weird. I mean he’s Shad and now he’s my brother?

“I’m twenty two and you’re seventeen. This was before he was with your mom. He left my mom when I was two. So he was with your mom for three years before you and Paris were born,” he explained.

“That’s too much math for me,” I shook my head. I absolutely hate math and I don’t need a math lesson today.

“Alright so I told you that they’re other siblings right?” He looked over at me. I nodded and he continued. “There’s Carly, Ciara, and Colton. They are triplets and they’re twelve. After dad thought that you and Paris weren’t his, he went back to my mom,” he explained further. I nodded again and prepared myself for this. I knew one thing for sure; my Dad got too many kids.

~

Shad and I got off the plane and grabbed our stuff. “Who’s picking us up?” I asked hesitantly. I didn’t want just some random person picking us up.

“My cousin, Zach,” he looked for him.

“Shad!” A guy yelled. He was very tall and looked a little intimidating. I never really liked being around boys who aren’t related to me. They just make me uncomfortable in general.

“Zach!” Shad ran to him and did a chest bump with him. He’s suck a dork but he’s my dorky brother apparently.

“Zach, this is my little sis Blakelynn,” he introduced us. It’s weird being called his little sister but it’s nice. I’ve never had an older sibling so it’s nice to know that someone is looking out for me.

“You ain’t tell me that your sister was this fine. And you’re a twin?” He looked me up and down. This is exactly why guys make me uncomfortable.

“First don’t talk about her like that. Also, she’s a lesbian and has a hot girlfriend so sucks for you,” he pushed his head. He sighed in frustration and that made me giggle a bit.

“What about your sister?” He looked hopeful. Paris would never go for a guy like him even if he was the last man on the planet. She likes a certain race and that doesn’t have him in it.

“She has a man,” I laughed as he threw his head back. He led us to his car and we headed for dad’s house. I grew nervous and I guess Shad could tell.

“It’s gonna be fine,” he grabbed my hand to calm me down. I sighed as we reached the house. We got out and Shad used his key to get in. “Where’s everybody!?” He yelled throughout the house.

“Shad’s home!” Colton ran to him. He’s taller than the pictures were but he still looked the same. He has the same eyes and nose as me.

“Wassup boy?” He hugged him.

Colton stepped back and stared at me. I hope he didn’t think that I was his girlfriend. He looked at me a little bit longer before talking.

“You’re Blakelynn,” he smiled at me. Wait, did he just call me by my name? Not even my nickname, he called me by my full name.

“How do you know that?” I questioned him. How in the world does he know my full name or who I even am?

“Dad talks about you all the time. He also talks about Paris and we have pictures,” he pointed to the hallways. I walked towards it and they had huge pictures of Ciara, Colton, and Carly. I got to the end and saw and huge picture of Paris and me when we were first born.
“Wow,” I covered my hand with my mouth. I didn’t know that he even still cared about us. I sat on the couch with Shad as we talked to all three of the kids. They were cute and reminded me a lot of myself when I was their age. Suddenly, we heard the door open.

“Dad!” Ciara ran to him. He walked into the living room and locked eyes with mine immediately.

Nicki’s P.O.V.

“So what do you think of Jaymie?” Daven asked me as we walked around the mall. It was a nice day and I love shopping. I dragged him with me and he didn’t complain like Aubrey would have done.

“She’s alright,” I shrugged. She seemed like someone I couldn’t trust just by the way she acts in general. I get a bad vibe from her and I trust my vibes.

“Oh no, what don’t you like about her?” He turned to look at me. It’s not like I don’t like her, I don’t know her. I just will keep my eye on her to make sure that my intuition wasn’t right.

“It’s nothing about her personally. It just seems as though there’s something between her and Drake,” I crossed my arms as it got colder. I didn’t like the way that they looked at each other after they came out of that room. Their interaction with each other completely changed and it didn’t look like they just met.

“Here,” he took off his jacket and handed it to me. He’s such a gentleman when he does little stuff like this. He’s a sweetheart and it’s nice to know that there are some nice men left in this world.

“Thank you,” I pecked his cheek before putting it on. It was so warm and I was thankful. I don’t know what I was thinking when I didn’t grab a jacket on my way out of my house.

“You guys make such a cute couple,” and old lady walked up to us. Do we really look like a couple? Can a guy and girl just be friends without people making a big deal about it?

“Oh we’re-,” I was cut off by Daven.

“Thank you. This is my wife and she’s pregnant with our first child. It’s nice that after all these years, people still think we’re a cute couple,” Daven smiled at her before walking away. After she was out of sight, we cracked up laughing.

“You are a fool,” I pushed him. He makes too many jokes but he kept me laughing and it’s nice to just laugh sometimes.

“Hey, I just went with the flow,” he shrugged as we began walking again. “But naw, I noticed it too. It’s like she knows him or something. They’re both from Toronto and both know Kolbie so I doubt they didn’t run into each other at least once,” he explained.

“Do you want to sit them down and ask them?” I questioned. I don’t think Aubrey would tell me the truth if I flat out asked him.

“I got a better idea,” he smirked. Nothing good ever comes from that smirk so I mentally prepared myself for whatever he was about to do.

~

“Tell us how they know each other,” Daven demanded from Kolbie.

“I told you that they don’t,” she glared at him. He loosened his grip on her favorite purse. If he let it drop, it would be covered in muddy water. I wouldn’t fish that out because I saw a dog poop there not too long ago. “Don’t do this Daven!” She stomped her foot.

“Tell us,” he almost let it go.

“Fine!” She grabbed her purse from him quickly. “They grew up together,” she sighed.

“What!?” Daven and I shrieked. They grew up together and they just acted like they didn’t know each other?

“They were best friends and took each other’s virginity,” she explained. Now that just make me wanna kill him and that bitch.

“I’m gonna kill him,” I shook my head before walking out the door. When I got home, Aubrey wasn’t there. I bet he’s with that bitch.

~

“Bye!” I heard Aubrey say before he walked into the house. He tried to quietly creep into our room but I turned on the light.

“Were you with Jaymie?” I cocked an eyebrow. He looked shocked from seeing me but I just waited for him to say something.

“Why would I be with her?” He looked nervous. Lying to me wouldn’t be a good idea right now when I’m pissed.

“I dare you to lie to me Aubrey,” I glared at him and for the first time ever, he looked terrified of me. He damn right should be.

Chapter 35: Ask Yourself

Nicki’s P.O.V.

We were currently in practice. Everyone has been doing really well recently. Nae quit but that’s okay because Kolbie filled her place. “That was great guys! It was so good that we’re ending practice ten minutes early!” Mere said as everyone cheered.

“Have a great weekend,” Shad smiled at all of us. Everyone got their stuff and left except for Blake, Cassie, and I.  The three that are dating the coaches, how ironic is that?

“Come here baby,” Mere smirked at Blake. Blake walked to her and kissed her; I’ll admit that they’re cute. Cassie looked really drained. She’s been looking more and more drained each day and that makes me worried.

“Make sure you drink fluids Cass,” Shad said as he kissed her forehead. I don’t think fluids are the only things that she needs. She looks extremely sick but she always tells me that she’s fine so I’ll let it go for now.

“Let’s go home,” Drake said as he threw his arm around me. We picked up Mylan from school and drove home. She wanted to see Caiah so I dropped Drake off and we went to Dad’s house. I walked in with the key he gave me weeks ago. A dog ran to us and My immediately bent down to his level.

“Hi Coco!” She patted the dog’s head. Ever since she saw Coco, she has been begging me for a dog; how about no. I am not getting no damn dog so she better be talking about a stuffed one.

“Nicki!” Caiah ran into my arms. I caught him and kissed him repeatedly. He giggled before I put him down. He tackled My as I went to search for Dad. He was in the kitchen cooking up a storm.

“Hey Daddy,” I spoke behind him. He put his spoon down and turned to hug me.

“Hey Nic,” he kissed my forehead before going back to cooking. He’s a really good cook and he says cooking helped him keep his mind off drugs.

“So Blake said she might want to do the DNA test,” I told him as I sat on a stool. Blake is really nervous about it but Paris convinced her.

“Okay, just tell me the time and date,” he nodded.

“Can you please explain how all this happened? How could you sleep with Auntie?” I pleaded. He put the food in the oven and then came to sit next to me.

“Your mother and I were separated for a while. We were going to get a divorce. We couldn’t seem to get alone and she wanted a divorce. That hurt me so I wanted to hurt her back. I was drunk and it was a mistake. She forgave me and we had Caiah and Mylan years later. Everything was perfect but then she died. Then your Aunt decided to spring the news of Paris and Blake being my possible daughters on me,” he explained.

“So Auntie knew that Caiah was alive?” I scrunched up my eyebrows. He nodded and I grew mad. I’m never talking to her again. “Thank you,” I hugged him before he went back to cooking.

Cassie’s P.O.V.

I quickly went into the locker room and put on my hoodie; I refused to take this thing off. They will obviously see something that I’m not ready for them to see. I walked out as they begun practice; I kept getting dehydrated and had to sit out.

“Here,” Shad offered me a Gatorade as he sat by me. I just looked at the drink not wanting to drink it. Gatorade isn’t anything like water at this moment. All I drink is water and that’s the only thing that I will drink.

“Do you have water?” I asked. He looked at me strange before getting some. I love Gatorade so I knew he was confused. He came back over handing me water and I immediately chugged it down.

“You should take off that damn hoodie,” he tried to take it off but I held it down. He’s been trying to get me to take off this hoodie since I’ve been back but I’m not going to.

“No!” I snapped. Can’t he just take no as an answer? I get it that he’s worried but I don’t need anyone to be worried about me; I’m fine.

“Why do you always wear that? What are you trying to hide? Are you pregnant?” He eyed me. Of course that the first thing he would ask; am I pregnant?

“I’m not pregnant Shad,” I cut my eyes at him. Why does everyone automatically assume that? Do I look pregnant?

“Then take it off,” he stared me down.

“Please don’t make me do this,” I whispered. I noticed most of the team looking at me. I knew they all wanted me to take it off. I quickly got up and ran out of the gym. Shad chased me but he didn’t have to run far because I passed out.

Shad’s P.O.V.

I quickly grabbed her and helped her up. She looked like she was in a daze and she was burning up. I took off her hoodie and almost dropped her from what I saw.

“What have you done to yourself?” I scrunched up my face. She had tears swell in her eyes.

“Shad I was anorexic for years but it wasn't this bad. It hasn't been this bad for years,” she cried. She was skinny as a stick and I damn sure knew that she wasn’t like this before she left.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I locked eyes with her.

“Because it’s disgusting and I hate how I look,” she sighed. She couldn’t look disgusting no matter how hard she tried; she’ll always be beautiful to me.

“How did this happen?” I ran my hand down her back. I felt so much more bones than I should. She looked unhealthy and that just made me more worried.

“He kept calling me fat so I stopped eating. I can’t eat without thinking of him,” she shook her head. I knew that she was anorexic when she was younger and it got better but now it’s like five years ago all over again.

“We’re gonna get through this okay?” I tilted her head up. She nodded before I kissed her. I’m not gonna let her go through this alone, I’ll be right by her side the whole way.

Drake’s P.O.V.
“Come on! Daven said his girl got home yesterday,” Nicki told me as I got dressed. She’s been trying to rush me for the past thirty minutes but I was taking my time.

“And I have to meet her why?” I looked at her. Nicki wanted me to meet her so I could be less concerned about them hanging out. I don’t care if he got a girl or not; I don’t like the way he looks at Nicki.

“Because she’s gonna be staying next door for a while,” she gave me a look. I finally got dressed and grabbed My. We walked over and knocked on the door. I still hate that he lives right next door because that just makes it easier for him to see Nicki.

“Hey,” Daven opened the door and pulled Nicki into a hug. That lasted too long in my head but I bit my tongue; no bad mouthing him.

“Daven!” My ran to hug him. I didn’t like the fact that My took a liking to him. That just makes things worse that she likes him.

“Wassup beautiful,” he kissed her before putting her down. He finally let his eyes meet me and I could tell that he was trying to be polite.

“Hey,” he dapped me up before letting us in. I’m still trying to get use to him but if Nicki said nothing will happen, then I trust her. “Jaymie’s upstairs changing but I’ll go get her,” he disappeared upstairs as we walked into the living room. Nyra attacked My with a hug.

“Hi baby,” My picked her up. I know My loves being older than her. She even asked us for a baby brother last night. Nicki almost choked on her food and I fell out laughing. Nicki is eighteen and I know she is nowhere ready to have a child.

“Guys, this is Jaymie. Jaymie this is Nicki, Mylan, and Drake,” he introduced us. I eyed her and then something clicked in my head.

“Hi,” she smiled and shook Nicki’s hand. She got to me and forced a smile. I tried to hold in my laugh while returning the forced smile. She rolled her eyes before extending her hand.

“Hello,” she shook my hand before talking to My. We all sat around getting to know each other. It’s not like I need to get to know her, I know everything about her.

“So Jaymie, where are you from?” I smirked. I already knew the answer to that but I thought I should have a little fun. I wouldn’t mind messing with her for a bit.

“I’m from Toronto, Canada,” she cut her eyes at me. I knew that she wanted me to stop but I was just getting started.

“Babe, you’re from there,” Nicki told me. I nodded while staring at Jaymie. Jaymie gave me a look warning me to stop but I ignored her.

“How did you two meet?” I looked in between them. They looked like total opposites and he is not the kind of guy she’s into. She told me that she would never date a kid and that’s exactly who he is.

“I met Jaymie through family friends,” Daven explained. Family friends my ass, they had to have met through Kolbie.

“You have family?” I cocked my head. She cut her eyes at me and I just shot her an innocent look. She doesn’t have any family that’s still living besides her cousin.

“Well I’m gonna go to the bathroom,” she stood quickly and left. Looks like she couldn’t take the heat that well.

“What’s your problem?” Nicki hissed at me. Why is she getting mad at me? I didn’t do anything wrong in my opinion.

“I was just trying to get to know her,” I shrugged. Those questions were friendly enough, it’s not my fault that she stormed out.

“Bullshit, go over there and apologize to her,” Nicki pushed me up before going over to sit next to Daven. I got up and walked towards the bathroom. I didn’t know where it was but I got pulled into a room.

“What the hell?” I looked around and saw a very pissed off Jaymie. She raised her hand and slapped me hard. “What the fuck Jayms!?” I held my burning cheek.

“Oh how does that feel Aubrey?” She crossed her arms. She still got them damn man hands and I forgot how much that hurts.

“Damn girl, what are you doing here?” I asked her. She was in Toronto last time I saw her and she hates New York.

“I’m here visiting my boyfriend. I met him through Kolbie,” she sighed. I figured that they met through Kolbie. She’s best friends with Kolbie and has been since she was really young. I looked around and saw we were in a bedroom.

“Whose room is this?” I looked around. It was pink and had toys everywhere so my only guess could be Nyra.

“Nyra’s,” she said simply. It looked like it.

“So we gonna act like we don’t know each other or tell them?” I sat down on her bed. She came and sat next to me.

“I don’t want to explain how we know each other,” she looked embarrassed. I figured that she didn’t tell him about her past. She always has a hard time telling people about her past.

“Shit I ain’t embarrassed,” I threw my hands up. I don’t know why she would be embarrassed, she had to do what she had to do.

“Well I am, he doesn’t know about that,” she put her head in her hands.

“So what? You stripped, big deal,” I tried to calm her down but she cried. “Hey Jayms, it’s cool. I’m not gonna tell him,” I reassured her.

“You knew me before I stripped and now I bet you look at me differently,” she looked at me. I went quiet for a minute confirming her thoughts but I broke the silence.

“Well I mean I did fuck you so,” I trailed off. You usually look at someone differently after you have sex with them.

“Shut up!” She laughed while lightly pushing me. “You also forgot to mention that I was your first time,” she smirked at me.

“I was yours so I don’t know why you’re smirking,” I chuckled. She laughed while slightly blushing. That was such an awkward experience but we were glad that we got it over with. I think we were around sixteen when that happened.

“I’ve missed you Aubrey,” she sighed. I haven’t seen her in a couple of years but we used to text on and off. She could have given me a warning that she was in New York. When Daven said that his girlfriend’s name was Jaymie, I didn’t think it would be my Jaymie.

“I’ve missed you too Jaymie,” I pulled her into a hug before we got up and left the room. We got to the living room and I saw Nicki sitting too close to Daven for my liking.

“Did you apologize?” Nicki cocked an eyebrow at me. She always wants me to do the right thing but I didn’t even have to apologize. She just didn’t want me blurting out her past.

“Does this show you I did?” I turned my head and she saw the red from when she slapped me. She should apologize for how much that shit hurt. I don’t get why she had to slap me of all things.

“Oh my god!” She jumped up and looked at my face. She turned it and rubbed her hand across it gently while looking closer at it.

“Damn babe, what did he do?” Daven laughed slightly. I didn’t do anything but Jaymie is known for being a very physical person. The only time that came in handy was when we had sex.

“He got on my bad side,” Jaymie winked at me before sitting in Daven’s lap. I’m sure I got on her bad side alright.

“Are y’all cool now?” Nicki looked at us. Jaymie looked up at me and tried to hide the smirk that she wanted to release.

“I don’t have a problem,” I threw my hands up. She let out a small laugh before nodding her head.

“As long as he stays in his lane,” she stated. I’ll make sure to stay in my lane whatever the hell that means.

Nicki’s P.O.V.

When I get bored with stories, I switch things up and that's exactly what I did with this one. I just wrote the last chapter for Worth The Wait and I'm finally able to say that I'm officially done with this story. The last chapter is very emotional so be prepared. I almost hate myself for how I ended it but I like it from a writer's perspective. So if I almost hate myself, y'all are gonna really hate me. I finally wrote to 100 chapters and I feel accomplished because I never stuck to a story that long. I seriously can't believe that I'm done with this story. The reason that I don't post more often is because I type really fast and it takes me triple that time to edit; I'm a perfectionist. I stay editing my post even the ones that are already posted. I might have finished 100 chapters but I need to edit chapters 45-100 so that'll take a while.
